One of the first things I do is drink some purified warm water with a bit of lemon. This is a great way to wake up your liver and get things moving in the morning! Soon after, I’ll have a 16-oz glass of green juice or green smoothie. This usually tides me over to lunch. If I need something more substantial, I’ll whip up some avo-toast. For lunch and dinner, I aim for slightly more than half of my plate to be covered with veggie dishes — salads, steamed or lightly sautéed greens and veggies. The other half is filled with more nourishing, plant-based foods such as grains, nuts, seeds, and beans. I keep my meals tasty and satisfying with a variety of sauces and spices!
